Les stratégies de politesse dans les chats plurilingues

The aim of this study is to analyze politeness strategies occurring in plurilingual and synchronous interactions on the Galanet platform. This analysis, wich is supported by Brown and Levinson’s politeness theory revisited by Kerbrat-Orecchioni, focuses on cultural differences and similarities of practices adopted by Italians, French and Spanish participants to Galanet chats. In particular, we will show how computer-mediated communication influences politeness expression.
