Archeozoologia Il Mediterraneo, la storia, la Sardegna

This work concerns Archaeozoology, that is the study of faunal remains from archaeological sites. In the first part, the relationship between man and animals as developed in italian peninsula during Holocene has beeen considered. After the last glacial era, human population continue in hunting wild species, while in the Middle East began the process leading to the domestication of animals and plants. The arrival of domestic species in Europe leads to an economic shift that is developed over time by breeding and selecting the domestic species. The second part concerns the development of the wild and domestic animals that arrive in Sardinia during the Holocene and sostitute the pleistocenic fauna. The third part consists of the bibliography.
