Abstract:
The present research explores how integrating AI and service management can be applied to managing destination management organizations (DMOs). Through the analysis of a case study of an Italian company operating as a Destination Management System (DMS) in the inbound tourism sector, the study aims to answer the following research questions:
RQ1: How does artificial intelligence contribute to sustaining the competitiveness of tourist destinations?
RQ2: To what extent do new technologies and service management influence the optimization of the tourist experience and the operational management of destinations?
