The legal framework of wine tourism in Sardinia

The paper describes the regulatory framework governing wine tourism activities in the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, following the approval of Regional Law No. 12/2021, whose objective is to enhance wine tourism as a cultural and economic phenomenon capable of providing new development opportunities for the territories where wineries and vineyards are located.
The opportunities offered by national and regional regulations are highlighted along with the potential yet to be developed especially for better integration with other segments of the island’s tourism offerings, while respecting social and environmental sustainability.
