Abstract:
Territorial tourism marketing plans, as part of strategic planning, make
it possible to direct promotional activities towards specific target markets in order to
strengthen the territory's image, attract more tourists and create a solid and sustainable
tourism economy.
The paper presents the findings of an analysis focusing on the hospitality and
accessibility indicators of four cities that have already embarked on the road of tourism
marketing planning. It confirms the study hypothesis, showing how the absence of
well-structured plans, or ineffective ones in terms of hospitality and accessibility,
worsens the cities' competitive ranking in tourism.
