Digital information tools to support the sustainable development of the territory: the loqual explorer model

The current tourism scenario, tried and distorted by the Covid-19 pandemic, leads to accelerate the transformations already underway in pre-pandemic destinations and to develop innovative digitalization and communication strategies to convert the capabilities of the territory into success factors. The aim of this work is to show how valuable territorial capital, organized in a systemic way, appropriately told and conveyed through digitized information tools, can represent a strategic lever to raise the tourist competitiveness of an area, encourage the conscious use of resources, encourage micro-entrepreneurship linked to traditional sustainable production and stimulating partnerships between companies belonging to the various sectors. In this regard, the LoQual Explorer model is presented, a tool designed to facilitate the tourist-consumer in acquiring information on "local" and "quality" goods and services of a given territory; finally, its application in the Sardinian city of Alghero is illustrated.
