Ricerche sulla biologia diArbutus unedoL. (Ericaceae) sviluppo e struttura del fiore e del frutto

In this paper different aspects ofArbutus unedofloral morphology were taken into consideration.The bud development was followed from its formation until antesis. A particular attention was given to the ovary wall histological modification, observed with a light microscopy and a scanning microscopy, during its differentiation and fructification. Some histochemical tests were also done, on the ovary wall and on the fruit, to establish the substances distribution during growth.
