Abstract:
Over the four years from 1971 to 1975 a factorial trial on N (O and 100 kg/ha), P (O and 150 kg/ha of P2O5)
and K (O and 100 kg/ha of K2O) was carried out on granitic soil natural pasture in northern Sardinia.
The climatic trends have considerably affected yield. Independently from the yearly trends soil fertilizing
has given notable increases of yield percentages as compared to the test. Phosphorus has appared to be
the most efficient element for yield increase, while nitrogen had less effect and the presence of potassium
was irrilevant. The best productive results were obtained with combining N and P.
The effect of P shows itself not only on the D.M. production but also by increasing the percentage of leguminose plants in the botanical composition.
