Abstract:
In this paper are reported the results of a 5-year research on the biological, agronomical and productive be
havior, of 15 lemon varieties growing in Sardinia area, coming from U.S.A. («Frost Eureka», and «Frost Lisbon»), Sardinia («Rifiorente locale» ICS/NL 1, ICS/NL 11, ICS/NL 12, ICS/NL 13, ICS/NL 14 and ICS/NL 19)
and Sicily («Femminello comune» ICP/NL 2, «Femminello Messina» SAA/NL 482, «Femminello siracusano»
ICP/NL 2 and ICP/NL 3, «Femminello 209» SAA/NL 483, «Continella» ICP/NL 1 and «Dosaco» ICP/NL 1).
Six varieties namely «Frost Eureka», «Frost Lisbon», «Conti nella» ICP/NL 1, «Dosaco» ICP/NL 1, «Rifiorente
locale» ICS/NL 12 and lCS/NL 19 were proved to have some good characteristics as for as the average
yield, juice percentage of fruit and seednumber per fruit are concerned.
