Abstract:
This paper reports on the pedological features of an area along the coastal plain of Barqa
(Cyrenaica), Libya. The discovery of the existence of soil profiles with calcic and gypsic horizons
has made it necessary to make a more detailed study of the area in order to explain the relationship
between these soils and the landscape.
