The paper presents the experience of the Community Action-Research
Laboratory within the MA Program in Social Work and Social Policies of
the University of Sassari. The aim of the Laboratory was to combine Community Social Work and Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR)
through an educational-training experience based on cooperative, situated
and experiential learning. The outbreak of the pandemic emergency led to
reframing the Laboratory’s operational design.
Starting with some brief introductory notes on Community Social Service and CBPR, this article describes the solutions that were identified to reorient the Workshop in the light of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic
emergency. It then presents the criteria that guided the evaluation of the
teaching experience and discusses the main outcomes.
