Per un’epistemologia della cura.

In his book Il Mondo nella Mente (Venice, Marsilio, 2007), Mario Galzigna makes a strong claim for the necessity of a deep interaction between psychiatry, psychotherapy and epistemology. The book usefully analyses and supports the ideas of a strong empirical commitment in psychiatry and psychotherapy. This paper critically examines the main proposals of the book, and in particular shows that the book is not fully convincing when it faces topics like the theory-ladenness of observation, the relation between history and evidence, and the definition, the limits and the consequences of relativism.
