La Sostenibilità ambientale dell'attività crocieristica

Despite the outcry about some recent events (Costa Concordia, Sea Diamond) the cruise industry does not show problems of environmental sustainability more serious than other sector of shipping; on the other hand, cruise activity is more environmentally sustainable than most forms of tourism. It does not seem necessary to invoke for cruising a special legislation in the field of environmental protection and safety. It has to be appreciated the growing sensitivity to the environmental profiles of ship-owners and users of the cruise industry.
