abstract:
Possible applications of alternative frameworks about intelligence, in vocational and educational guidance, lead us to make a first step towards introducing Gardner’s theory on multiple intelligences in this context. Our aim is to present the Inventario de Autoeficacia para las Inteligencias Multiples, recently adapted for the Italian context. In addition to psychometric properties of the questionnaire, some criterion validation studies in the vocational guidance field will be described, for both the Argentinian context, in which this questionnaire was related to scholastic achievements and to choice intention, and for the Italian context, in which this test was related to occupational self-efficacy and professional interests. Results will be discussed with reference to new scenaries that such a model seems to open regarding job counseling
