abstract:
In the past time the little sea stretch of Bocche di Bonifacio constituted not a separation element, but an easy communication way, permitting intense relations between North Sardinia and Corsica. Some trace of this relations are now in the common language and in many surnames which have Corsican origin and which are widespread in North Sardinia. More recently, the historical events and the affiliation to different national States have caused some relations weakening, until a sharp separation. But in the last times man glimpses, in cultural and economic cooperation, the way to overcome the isolation in which the insularity have forced the Sardinian –corsican area. In this perspective it becomes necessary to activate in order to build a modern future, starting from the present, assuming the traditional characteristics not only as a rest of the past, but as resources, without closures into himself and without rejecting the contacts with the outside world, in the name of rejection of colonization. This volume proposes a reflection in order to see himself as in a mirror, looking at ourselves as others see as, but in the same time seeing the other through our life experience. It is therefore a game of reflexes and joints, where inside and outside, past and present, tradition and modernity play an integrated role which can guarantee the development and the growth.
