abstract:
In the first part of the volume the factors of cultural impact of tourism are investigated. After a reflection on the relationship between tourism and territory, the attention goes on the tourism as cultural industry and on the characteristics , not only quantitative, of mass tourism. The touristic impact are looked with reference to the negative and positive effects on the host community. The attitudes towards the tourism is related to the behavior of tourists and to phase of development of the touristic phenomenon. In this sense it is possible to individuate four fundamental type of attitude, in a scale from the total acceptance to the active opposition. So the changeover is from the euphoria to the apathy, to the annoyance and at last to the antagonism. The second part of the volume turns the attention to the Sardinian case, characterized by a seasonal and maritime tourism. A report on the phases of touristic development in Sardinia and on the images of touristic communication close the volume.
