A picture of the situation of art and applied arts in Sardinia between 1930 (founding date of the local section of the Fascist Union of Artists) and 1960. The abandon of the regionalist-secessionist style of the Twenties was followed by the fascist mediterraneism and ruralism and, after WWII, by a late and difficult embracement of Modernism.
