Ricerche di tesori tra scavi e collezionismo nella Sardegna post-unitaria

In the archive documentation of second half of the nineteenth century are found numerous requests by scholars, but also by ordinary citizens, who want to be authorized to carry out archaeological excavations in search of buried treasures that, by law, were allowed to keep for themselves, also if in part. Although there was some caution in granting licenses, the phenomenon contributed to the birth of collections also fueled by a prosperous antiquary market in which, beside people extraneous to scientific world, we find some of the protagonists of archaeological and palethnological research at that time. Some collections, following purchases or gifts, were the main core of the University Museums of Sassari and Cagliari, which later became Royal Museums. Among the news of the findings, there was that of the discovery of some pottery referable to a Chalcolithic funerary context of the territory between Laconi and Asuni, today almost completely lost.
