Lingue, culture, identità in Sardegna: a proposito di una recente indagine sociolinguistica

A recent sociolinguistic quantitative survey of language use and users in Sardinia (the widest and most detailed sociolinguistic survey ever carried out on this territory) shows that no significant changes have occurred since the beginning of 1990s, in spite of important regional and national laws which decreed that minority languages are to be protected. Even though the retention of these languages is valued positively, we are observing the deliberate formation of a generation of children unable to pass on any knowledge of them to subsequent generations.
