NEW SMALL BAETYLS FROM S’ELIGHE ENTOSU DOMUS DE JANAS NECROPOLIS (USINI –SS)
Five new fragments of small baetyls were found during the last excavations in the prospect tomb
n. 4 of S’Elighe Entosu rock cut necropolis (called domus de janas). The baetyls are well known in
funerary contexts of nuragic Sardinia, both in giants’ tombs and rock-cut tomb with possible
architectural façade. The new findings belong to both represented size range (6-11 and 12-16 cm
diameter) and were found in the inner and exterior area of the domus, where funerary rituals were
carried out and offerings were dedicated to the ancestors
