abstract:
A system for radio frequency identification (RFID) for the traceability of PDO (Protected Designation of
Origin) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) lamb meat has been proposed, working in a
collaborative network in which each stakeholder contributes in collecting information through the whole
supply chain. A dual band LF/UHF system for electronic identification was prototyped and tested. Future
perspectives of operating in the UHF band in animal identification were analysed.
