Per una storia della composizione e del funzionamento delle commissioni permanenti della Camera dei deputati (1968-1994)

The essay presents the first results of a more articulated research which has its focus on the Italian Parliament in the period between 1968 and 1994. In particular, it examines the characteristics of the 2161 deputies who were assigned to the various standing committees during the period examined and the role they played in them. It reflects on the characteristics of the work in the standing committees, starting with the way they were composed and then proceeding to an initial examination of their concrete mode of operation (the distribution of time between the various activities, or the actual attendance of members at meetings).
