La prospettiva della solidarietà nello sviluppo durabile

This work deals with possible scenarios in contemporary Sardinia in the aftermath of the crisis in the petrochemical industry that led to the abandonment of the countryside, thereby jeopardising the survival of traditional activities. We propose the possibility that durable development can take place, as long as care is taken not to destroy the basis of its own social and ecological reproducibility.
We underline in our work the importance of social cooperation together with local knowledge and the role of social entrepreneurs who invest in “hidden, wasted or badly used” resources, with the aim of creating personal and social empowerment.
The local knowledge recuperated within the framework of the right to an active life is a guarantee for durable development and may represent a resource for future welfare.
