abstract:
The way to setup a virtual environment for evaluating restoration proposals is based on three main steps, the survey, the construction of a model, and
the visualization. Although strategies to manage problems associated with the geometry has been defined, the management of chromatic representation along the entire virtualization process still need to be fully investigated. The paper discusses the approach taken in a project developed to assist the restoration of the “Sala delle Cariatidi” in Milan's Royal Palace.
