Forms of communication of Roman bridges have over time different methods: textual
description, cartographic representation; landscape with incisions; photographic; movies;
serious games. Analyzing methods of representation of Roman bridges helps to interpret
meanings, values and the communication of these values. The research focuses on the
Roman bridges in Rome, through textual evidence from Roman era, through representations
of the 16th century, where is used a paradigmatic-symbolic form of expression, up to the
most recent representative forms of today.
