Variaciones ortográficas en el español de Cuba

Part of the lexical stock of the Cuban system of speech is still subject to spelling variation. This is because of various historical, etymological, morphological, phonological, or even sometimes connotative-affective reasons, which may condition the choice of the graphical output. We will try to present below a map of the current situation of orthographic variation in Cuban Spanish, taking into account the above-mentioned reasons. This work is part of a variational lexicography project of personal authorship that tries to gather different elements that make up the Cuban diasystem.
