Short description:
Gio Ponti e la diffusione dello "stile" italiano in America / Rostagni, Cecilia. - C:(2021), pp. 216-223.
abstract:
After the war, exchanges between Italy and America were very intense. In this context, Gio Ponti took on a special role, contributing to the spread of Italian “style”. Through the design of the interiors of the first transatlantic liners, Ponti was able to literally “ferry” the Italian arts across the ocean.
While working with some local companies he exported not just Italian furniture, but also the way of life that it represents.
