abstract:
The genus Rubus in Sardinia is represented above all by R. ulmifolius aggregate, while other two endemic species are located in two localities in the Limbara and Goceano mountains. Two new species called Rubus laconensis and Rubus pignattii, are described in two different small areas of the Sarcidano country. They are characterized by a very small number of druplets despite their large size. R. laconensis can be temporarily attributed to the Caesius aggregate and R. pignattii would be better attributed to the subgenus Rubus. Emphasis about the endemic status and the small range is given.
