abstract:
The European Commission has finally presented a proposal [COM(2013) 512 final] repealing the current package travel directive 90/314/EEC. This article aims to review the scope and the contents of the new regulation, focusing on several problems due to the approach taken by the European legislator and the actual version itself. The proposal at hand would provoke serious complications in implementing it, within the frame of full harmonisation, and needs a consistent revision.
