abstract:
The essay starts from the publishing of the
records of a meeting about Severino's philosophy
and examines the hypothesis that the
temporal dimension in Severino's perspective
is based on the impossibility that human
consciousness embraces the infinite totality
of beings. This examine comes to
show two different types of contradiction
(from one of which we are saved by means
of the time, while the time lets be the other)
that is possible to find in Severino's thought.
But none of them allows to deduce the time
from finiteness.
