Le radici teoriche dell’autogoverno medievale

The paper has two objectives. The first is to illustrate the elaboration’s process of the republican civic vocabulary which constitute the theoretical bases of the medieval autonomous government. The second is to evaluate the heuristic proprerties of the republican theory of the government by examining, through a critical reading of its Statute, the political orgnization and social relations that characterize the city of Sassari in the XIIIth century.
