abstract:
The increase of cultural tourism and therefore the need of gaining knowledge on places,
recall the need of deepening the understanding of the relation between this kind of tourism, as an
experiential one, and leisure.
So within religious tourism the pilgrim as a tourist couples to travel his/her need for a search
of new sacre places. In Sardinia Region minor and rural churches are the product of a local popular
religious mood and it seems to be an interesting tourism attraction and at the same time a strategic
opportunity of socioeconomic development of rural areas with the local territory integrated
touristic production.
