AN EPR STUDY ON THE BINDING OF OXOVANADIUM(IV) TO NUCLEOSIDE MONOPHOSPHATES - EVIDENCE FOR THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE PURINE MOIETY IN THE COMPLEXES OF ADENOSINE 5'-MONOPHOSPHATE / Alberico, E; Buglyo, P; Kiss, T; Micera, Giovanni; Sanna, D.. - In: JOURNAL OF CHEMICAL RESEARCH. SYNOPSES. - ISSN 0308-2342. - 1(1994), pp. 42-43.
abstract:
Binding of oxovanadium(IV) to ribonucleoside monophosphates, which involves initially the formation of VO(IV)-phosphate bonds and then the transfer of the metal ion to the deprotonated pair of 2',3'-hydroxy groups, may also yield species which are stabilised by interaction of oxovanadium(IV) with phosphate and the N(7) atom of the adenine moiety.
