Starting from The Purloined Letter by Edgar Allan Poe, through the interpretations by Lacan e Derrida, but also referring to Baudelaire, the assay carries out an analysis on the theme of extreme in literature.The main theme concerns the economy of visibility and exposure that the literary work and the work of art involve in relation with the phenomenological reflection on visibility. The purpose lies in showing the relationship of proximity between art and extreme.
