The new European regulation of package travel and linked travel arrangements

The Directive 2015/2302/EU on package travel and linked travel arrangements has been finally adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, repealing the package travel Directive 90/314/EEC with effect from 1 July 2018. This article aims to highlight some critical issues and the objective difficulties that Member States will have to face, within the dead- line of 1 January 2018, to adopt the laws, the regulations and the administrative provisions necessary to comply with the new rules, according to the provi- sion of Art. 28 of the new Directive.
