Abstract:
Technological properties and 'in vitro' dissolution pattern of some modified-release commercially available formulations, containing Diclofenac Sodium salt, were studied and compared. In experimental conditions similar to those in gastrointestinal tract, all examined preparations released more than 90% of their Diclofenac content. Comparative analysis of results, obtained whether from enteric coated or extended-release formulations, showed marked differences of drug dissolution rate depending on the pH of dissolution media.
