Abstract:
THE ENZYME-LINKED IMMUNOSORBENT ASSAY (ELISA) FOR EARLY AND RAPID DIAGNOSIS OF TOMATO PITH NECROSIS BY Pseudomonas corrugata Roberts et Scarlett.
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) provided an effective and sensitive tecnique for the diagnosis of P. corrugata Roberts et Scarlett, the causai agent of tomato pith necrosis.
ELISA test was successfully applied both for detecting bacterium in pure culture and for early, rapid and simultaneous diagnosis in crude sap of experimentally infected plants.
The results are compared and discussed with those reported from other Authors.
