Abstract:
This article examines the works of Bill Viola and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, who assign to the body the dual role of object and subject, understanding it as a liminal interface between bio- logical and technological, individual and collective. The ultimate goal is to show how, despite different approaches, both conceive the body as an active device that translates and amplifies human experience in the digital age. A «place» where aesthetic and ethical dimensions are intertwined, reminding us that, despite the increasing pervasiveness of technology, the body remains the irreplaceable core of our aesthetic, existential and relational experience.
