Modificazioni flussimetriche dell'arteria uterina in menopausa dopo terapia ormonale sostitutiva

The Authors studied with endovaginal ultrasonography and color Doppler uterine arteries flow velocity variations in post-menopausal women receiving hormone replacement therapy and in 33 women serving as control group. After 1 year pulsatility index in therapy group decreased (p=0.037), on the contrary in control group increased (p<0.001). After 1 year resistance index in therapy group decreased (p = NS), while in control group increased (p<0.001). Early menopause patients before (p<0.001) and after (p<0.05) hormone replacement therapy had pulsatility index higher than postmenopausal women. A significant increase of endometrial thickness in therapy group (p<0.001) than control group is showed.
