The essay examines the reform of crimes against cultural heritage, entered into force on 23 March 2022, starting from the theoretical premises of a progressive and modulated system that takes into account, starting from the constitutional point of view, the specificity of the object of protection. The offenses included in title VIII-bis, entitled “Crimes against cultural heritage”, are therefore analyzed in the context of system choices and relations with complementary legislation.
