Abstract:
With the aim to evaluate the productivity
of endive on floating system, a greenhouse experiment was conducted at the Agrarian Faculty of Sassari. Plants were grown with two nutrient solutions, containing 13 and 26 meq l-1 of NO3-N, respectively.
As expected plants grown at lower N concentration
showed lower nitrate content compared to those grown with higher N concentratio(n3 47.7v s. 1.460m g kg-1 of fresh weight, respectively). While,
the average marketable yield was 3.1 kg m-2, regardless the N concentration of the nutrient solution
