Osservazioni sull'embriogenesi diGennaria diphyllaeBarlia robertiana(Orchidaceae)

The process of the development in the several phases of the Orchid reproduction shows peculiar features of a great biological interest. The author has examined the development of the various stages of the female gametophyt and the embryogenesis of two species:Gennaria diphyllaeBarlia robertiana. Moreover, she has done preliminary cytophotometric dosages on the quantity of DNA being in the nucleus of the proemrbyo cells of these two species and has noticed that both inGennariaand inBarliathere is a variation in the quantities of the genetyc material; therefore, it's quite possible to presume a polyploidization, even though to a very limited point in this last species.
