Struttura e corrispondenti dell'epistolario di Marcantonio Sabellico. Una prima indagine

The article offers a preliminary general view of the correspondence of Marcantonio Sabellico, with special attention to its genesis, structure and principal features. The task is made difficult by the absence of dates and chronological order, the difficulty of identifying many of the correspondents, obscure language, and a tendency to use nicknames, often coined ad hoc. In conclusion there is an index of the correspondents with notes giving basic information for brief profiles of the individuals who are less well-known or hard to identify.
